TGIF: Thank Goodness It’s Fermented!

My apologies for posting the Friday question of the day so late! I woke up late, did my Insanity work ( I hate Shaun T.!), and then realized it was time to head to the office. And because I don’t blog and work at the same time ( I enjoy being employed), I’m trying to squeeze it in during lunch before everyone forgets about me.

I was also preoccupied this morning by the potential football menu for this weekend. College football tailgate on Saturday, to be follwed by NFL shenanigans on Sunday- I have a lot to think about. And that’s when my mind start to drift off, thinking of the libations I was planning to consume…

I’ll be honest, I can’t do it like I used to anymore. I tried tailgating for 6 hours a few weeks ago, and barely could keep a pitcher of mimosas down. The thought of beer often makes me nauseous, but I usually have to drink Coronas, because wine is frowned up by the football crowd.

I feel that I’ve gone through a gradual transformation with regards to how I get inebriated:

-wine coolers and St. Ides in high school
-all the LIQUORS you can imagine with lots of mixers in college
-discovered beer when I was unemployed post-college
-then I embraced WINE

And it was a wrap after that. If it was up to me, I would drink wine for every occasion. Dinner parties, happy hour, tailgating, post- and pre-workout, pretty much everything.

Does anyone else feel the same way?  As you’ve gotten older, have your drinking habits changed?  While I wait your feedback, I’m going to figure out how to make moacato work with bratwurst.

KEEP IT A HOT MESS
